Soooooo many things happened since the last time i blogged, i don't even know where to start! Well, at first it was because of the crappy internet issue i had with my landlord (or rather agent), and it was this and that... Mainly i had distractions because blogging isn't my career or priority in life, if you get what i mean.
Anyways!
Sissie came to Malaysia in January! (And yes, i'm fully aware it's 30th March right now tyvm) With her whole in-laws (:
For her Chinese wedding. It's kinda obligatory since we're Chinese, even though you get married to a Caucasian.. Or you'll be disowned by the family. I'm completely assuming that since my gramma gave a WTF face when my sister joked about not wanting to have a Chinese wedding in Malaysia. Sooo in the end she had it and this is a picture of us doing the 'yaaaaaaaaaam seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeng' from the top of our lungs. I felt like a failed Chinese when my sister's father-in-law asked me about all the "why do you do this why do you do that " questions and i failed to answer. But he's a very obedient white man,
He just came with us and shouted "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" along. And if you can spot my daddy in the black shirt next to my uncle in the flower shirt at the bottom left corner, he's shouting at the top of his lungs and chugged down Black Labels like water (literally) cos he's so happy his first daughter is getting married wtf. He got a hangover for the whole day and sore throat for the next 3 days followed by a mild fever. The things alcohol and Chinese weddings can do to you... :)
I was the photographer for all the yam seng session and luckily i was wearing my ALDO heels so i'm tall enough to take pictures of them from the top..... But i didn't really do a great job cos my dress was pretty short and when i lift my hands up, they go up, so i had to pull then down every time and in that split second i was adjusting my dress, i miss some good shots :( So finally my super super super tall cousin offered to help me take pictures cos apparently he can "take better pictures since he got a height advantage" >.<
Oh well, i get to be in the picture, so i can't complain much. (Can you see my sister's father-in-law yelling "AAAAAAAAAA" next to me and my daddy's face getting all red from the yelling?) I still laugh every time i view these pictures back in my laptop :)
Le bride and le groom. Pre-party at Al Fresco before the wedding.
It's not the best picture i had of myself and of my sister, but it's the only picture we had together that night :( Well, since she's the bride loads of people wanna take pictures of her, so she's the celebrity of the night. And i did her awesome hair i should drop out of college and be a hairstylist wtf. And because she's the bride, she gets to hide behind me so i'll look fat and she won't, and i gotta oblige. Oh well, can't complain about it too. *shrug* I miss my sissy :(((((
I'll finish my sister's Chinese wedding with a picture of the cheeky bride with my super drunk daddy, with a cut on his hand which happened somewhere sometime somehow.
Got my picture taken by a friend working at the photo shop after a year of delaying and finally agreeing to it cos i had one whole month to spend at my hometown. The sun was too hot that day, making me look like a freaking white sheet of paper, and the photographer wasn't satisfied and wanted a "re-match". I thought they looked fine though :(
Went to Felda Residence Hot Spring with my mummy and bro finally. Too bad my daddy needed to work :( Hahahahahahahaha this is a very funny picture of my mummy i don't know why it's funny but it looked so funny wtf lolololol
That's me trying my very very very hardest to dip my leg in the super super super hot water, in front of a chinese uncle who tried so hard to convince me to JUST DO IT. He was probably annoyed at me for being such a pussy about it, but guess what? I AM A FREAKING PUSSY OKAY LIVE WITH IT.
Okay lah actually he's just being nice, trying to give me moral support but he's a hellufa persistent guy at it.
I finally gave up. So i don't have hot water tolerance. Guess i'll have to live with it.
I've been trying very hard in my life to do the one eyebrow up one eyebrow down look like how Melanie professionally did it, but failed every single time. Maybe i'm just not born with the correct facial muscles :( I don't know how my bro did it but i look freaking out of proportion and thin in this picture, maybe it's the angle. Hmmmmmm
Celebrated my 21st birthday at Jogoya with mummy daddy and Aaron, and a 2 nights stay at JW Marriot. Thank you daddy for the awesome awesome meal and weekend :D
My dad helped us to took this picture and he laughed so hard after taking the picture, and when i asked he said it's because my brother looked like a principal next to me. Hahahahahahaha
Finally he smiled........ a bit. I guess he only smiles when he's at a bar or a club with a bottle of whiskey in his right hand and a hot chick in his left :(
Got my cartilage pierced. It was a living hell for the first 2 weeks when i couldn't sleep on my left side at all, and had a few sleepless nights when i accidentally slept on it and the pain woke me up :( Not to mention the countless times i accidentally touched it (not to mention the one time where my bro accidentally HIT it - i thought i was gonna die of pain that very day wtf). I don't know how am i gonna handle clubs in the near future, especially Rootz tonight :( I had my hair up for the past few weeks to avoid any unnecessary (painful) contact where my hair gets tangled up with my stud.. Wish my ear best of luck tonight!
Oh, here's a snapshot of me and my mauritian friends in Vertigo when Calvin Harris was there. It was sooooo jam-packed that night i was literally sweating buckets! And no my boobs aren't big it's just an optical illusion where my hair fell at the right place creating a fake cleavage. I still wish for the day my boobs will grow into a matured size..... one day...... one fine day.... :(
I got my hair permed like Medusa! :D I think it look awesome cos it looks messy and i have big hair now and i don't look as innocent as before. I think. And don't judge cos i just washed my hair in this picture so naturally it would be a little frizzy okaaaaay. Hmm.
LASTLY I WOULD LIKE TO FREAKING COMPLAIN ABOUT THE FREAKING WATER IN MY FREAKING CONDO WHICH IS YELLOW LIKE URINE WTF THIS IS THE COLOUR OF THE WATER IN MY CUP CAN YOU IMAGINE I USED THIS WATER FOR 2 WEEKS WITHOUT NOTICING HOW FREAKING YELLOW IT IS UNTIL MY FRIEND CRASHED AT MY PLACE AND TOLD ME ABOUT IT?!?
I'm angry.
Oh wait.
I fried fish and cooked curry with the help of my friend Kailing :) Tastes good okay cos it was an instant curry packet hehehe but nonetheless my mummy was very proud of me :)))) And sissie said my curry looked nice so it's all fine ♥

Who's an ang moh?
Definitely not you :)
This time, it's not a prank.
Things to do before you're old and ugly (or dead) :
Dye my hair red [check!]
April 27, 2011
Rambut oh rambut
Warning : a thousand vain pictures coming up.
Haha actually just 5 lah just pulling your legs.
Okay you know how i used to scrutinize people pictures of themselves in the bathroom? I take back my words now haha because why?
Because my bathroom has the best lighting ever!!! I have no idea why but my hair colour looks better in my bathroom it could be the perfect amount of natural lighting. My room's natural lighting makes my hair looked a little more yellow ewwwww In the bathroom, i see my hair with a hint of red, but the pictures doesn't convey the colour well enough.
And it's pretty annoying and confusing because i can't possibly see the real colour of my hair no matter how i see it because under different circumstances my hair appears differently!
Like,
When i take a picture of myself the hair looks super brown and lala.
When i use the reflection of the mirror like this it looks even more lala because it looks like the brown looks yellow-ish especially on top. (hahahaha do you see my short and chubby fingers -.-)
When i take it further like this you see the hint of red more prominently, right? TELL ME IT IS or else it will mean that i scrutinize myself in the mirror too much to cause hallucinations.
Nah another picture for you.
See see it's a whole lot different from the first 3 pictures right? So yeah now i don't know if i'm a lala brown or am i still an ang moh (red hair).
Anyway when my black roots dominates about 30% of my hair then i'll re-dye it again. Reddify it again. If there's such a word hahahaha i love it that i can invent my own words because i won't get a red circle around the word on my blog (not that i've invented my words in essays but yeah you get my point). And the waves i had in the pictures above are totally man-made. It's SO unfair that some girls can get these naturally beautiful waves by just.... waking up in the morning but i have to tie my hair in a bun while it's still damp the night before and THEN, i wake up and get the waves. RAAAANT.

imlalaomglol
I accidentally dyed my hair into this colour. It was meant to be a lot more dark, and more RED. But.... Oh well. Hair saloons have this thing against me. ALL of them. It's like they have this National Hair Saloon Association and at their AGM, they'll mention NEVER TO GIVE FIONA WONG JIA LI (I/C num : ************) THE HAIR THAT SHE WANTS, EVER.
Despite all the efforts of buying colour hair shampoo, buying hair vits for coloured hair, and applying serum for coloured hair (they are all supposed to 'retain' the hair colour and shine, FYI)....
My hair still transformed into this in less than a month:
Fully lala-fied.
I might as well buy some stripy leggings, puffy red polka dots skirt with a torn top with studs all over to match this hair.
Am a bit depressed but i think i'll live with it. Itching to straighten it but i dread the look that i'll have after doing it (115.6% lala-fied look).
Aaaaaand, since i was taking picture of my hair i thought of.....
Camwhoring a little bit although i am highly NOT photogenic and am having my naked face with super hugeass dark circles cos it was CNY season and u never get to sleep early during CNY (:
When will my hair ever grow?
Sigh.
Good night sweet dreams (:

Liese hair cocktail review
Hahahahahahaha i'm baaack, with a hair product review :P
I have been seeing loads of blogs and articles reviewing about this product, saying positive stuff. And true enough, after the purchase, this review is gonna be as positive as can be! I totally love it, 101%. Although i don't technically use it everyday cos i still have tonnes of serums and hair lotion waiting for me. My mum actually bought this, cos her daughter (me) recommended her to use it since her hair is reeeeally unruly and dry AND very frizzy. And i mean, extra dry, esp cos her hair texture is way coarser than mine.
I forgot how much does this exactly cost, but it's about RM30-something from Guardian. Really affordable. I wanna beat my chest hard for spending so much on my current very small bottle of never-heard-before-brand hair serum from a saloon. Then again, before this, i've never heard if Liese too. Haha.
Liese is a Japan product. Somehow nowadays i'm more into Korean and Japan made products, since they're asians as well and they have the technology, so they must know what's best for us. This must be my sister's influence. She was CRAZY about asian products hahaha.
The packaging said that there's 2 layers of liquid in this bottle : anti-frizz oil and nutritive water. And i'm guessing the pink layer should be the anti-frizz oil, since oil is less dense than water. Haha. Actually i was a tad bit disappointed that the bottle isn't made of glass, cos it totally looked like glass from the box. And it'd feel nicer if it's glass. But more accident prone esp if used by clumsy ppl like me. So, plastic should be the wiser choice, lol.
So, u're supposed to shake the bottle to mix the 2 liquid together to get this mango shake :
Actually it's more like peach shake, since it has peach leaf extract and PRUNE in it. prune. hahahahah. We all know how prune smells like, right? I was initially a little worried about the smell of prune, BUT thank God that this thing smells everything like peach. Which is so loveable cos everytime i apply them on my hair, i feel like eating my hair! It's that sweet. And for those that know me, i'm a sucker for fragrances. Plus point for this product ; smells so sweet and yummy, AND it's really great for the hair. Very moisturizing.
This is about 4 drops on my hand. 4 drops goes a long way, really. This product doesn't give the same feeling as serum, cos they're oil and u feel the instant change of texture of ur hair. But Liese Hair Cocktail leaves ur hair feeling very natural when ur hair is damp, and ur hair is dry, THEN u feel the difference. Really soft hair! I really can see the difference in my mum's hair too. Hmm. Should've taken a before and after picture for u to see, cos the difference is really drastic to my mum's hair. But didn't thought of it before, hahaha.
Anyways, i'd rate this product as 9.5 over 10! Yeap i really love this one. But am thinking of buying the green one, just to try something new. Imma buy myself a hair cocktail after finishing my current serum! :)

Asience Inner Beauty review
Asience,
made for Asian hair.
really lures u to buy it right.
since we're asian.
and we trust them Japanese to do their research and know what's best for us asians to look
SI BEH PRETTIE.
okay anyways, Asience is a brand by Kao (Japanese corporation). Apparently, they've come up with this hair product that is most suitable for asian hair. According to their brochure, Asian hair has more cuticles, therefore it's prone to damages compared to caucasian hair.
*raises an eyebrow*
but seriously their hair texture and our hair texture is not the same, so there's truth in this statement. So, my sis bought this set for my from S'pore a few months ago. I'm sorry i don't know the price :P
I just got to use this last week cos i still haven't finish my Tresemme shampoo when my sis bought this, and there was the Schwarzkopf Gliss Kur. Thank God that shampoos don't have a short shelf life. I dunno whether is it just me or it's the fact, but i seriously think that my hair's condition has improved ALOT since the middle of the year, shortly after my latest perm.
It's either the frequent haircut (to keep the ends healthy), the Schwarzkopf Gliss Kur (i seriously think it did help during the duration too!), the L'oreal night serum, or the Swissvernice hair serum. whoa i put loads of stuff on my hair! and to top it off, i really really am convinced that the Asience shampoo + conditioner did help loads too :) and it has only been a week since i used it!
I dunno if i'm exaggerating or not, but i really feel the difference after the first wash using Asience Inner Beauty. It really felt softer and it really is more manageable. Before this when i'm using the Gliss Kur, i used an appropriate amount of L'oreal night serum on my hair and it felt good the next morning. But when i'm using Asience Inner Beauty, it seems that the hazelnut size amount of night serum is too much, resulting in over-shiny hair. like, it clumps up. Most probably it's because i have permed hair, so it clumps up in one corkscrew shape. hahahahas. So, less night serum and it does my hair wonders. Oh and i uber love the bottle cos it's so pretttttty. It's yellow in colour, with glitter. Sorry i didn't take a close up picture. Here's one from the net :
HOWEVER, i hate the smell. Okay hate is a strong word. DISLIKE. It smells... 'old'. Gliss Kur smells 'younger'. I'm sorry for the weird comparison and the weird usage of words, but yeah. I haven't used the treatment though. But so far, i'm happy with the shampoo and conditioner, though i don't really fancy their smell. It's bearable, just not to my liking.
This is a really short review, i'm just voicing out my personal opinions. And since i did not plan to buy this product myself, i did not do tonnes of research beforehand. So i know little of this product and i dunno what the net has to say about it. BUT i'm really eyeing to buy the Liese hair cocktail after i finish my Swissvernice. Apparently it's really great and has a really nice smell. I've seen them in Watsons and Guardian but i couldn't get a sniff cos they're wrapped up. And as most of u know, i wanna get my hair dyed after my STPM. My original plan was to do it at a hair saloon cos i don't wanna result in really uneven or unwanted colour cos i ain't a professional, not at doing my own hair at least. Well the thing is, while i was researching about the Liese cocktail, i came across the Liese bubble hair colour. IT SOUNDS SO CUTE OMG and apparently almost every review i read about it says that it gives a very even and pretty colour! am so tempted omgomg :) and at a fraction of the cost i spend at saloon too! really tempting. will give it a thought hahaha.
Anyways, from a scale 1 to 10, i'll rate this product as a seven :)

introduction to velcro
THIS.
is a piece of velcro.
and guess what u can do with it?
PUT IT ON UR HEAD!!
okaaay i know alot of gals might've known about this new discovery already.
no big deal,
but i've always thought that the 'piece of thing' stuck on ppl's head,
is a piece of cloth with a pin below.
I NEVER THOUGHT THAT IT WAS A VELCRO MAN.
and it's really cute.
too bad mine's pink, cos my sis bought it.
it's rm2.50 for 2
rm2.50 for a piece of velcro? =.=
so my sis gave me one.
but of course, i wouldn't put this on my head out of the house.
but it's really nice to use at home when i don't want my fringe getting in the way.
and the thing is that when i wanna go out after that, i have no marks on my hair.
u knooooooow,
when u use pins and pin up ur hair, it leaves a mark there.
and when u leave it down, it's retarded already.
get me?
if yes, good.
if yes, good.
if no, forget it.
i have no patience :P
u know what's my dad's reaction when he saw it on my sis's head?
he whispered to my mum :
"Bee, what's that patch on Audrey's head?"
"Bee, what's that patch on Audrey's head?"
LMAO right!
i said it's a medical patch.
my sis said it's a migraine patch.
bwahahahahahahahaha
u know my dad's very nice to fool around with.
esp when he hit the big five zero.
he's a little bluuurrrr about what's going on.
in malay, we call it nyanyuk.
i find nyanyuk people very entertaining.
same things goes to my maternal aunty.
ooooh btw i think what rayster said bout me is right.
when i don't update, i really don't update for ages.
when i do update, i keep updating non-stop.
oh well.
i'm fiona.
bear with it, will ya?

GROW, won't you?
So, i ended up chopping up (Cal's interesting term of 'cutting') my hair.
I remember clearly telling people i wanna leave my hair long till my waist last year.
Well, actually it IS until my waist already, only if it wasn't curly.
But the ends were so much maintenance i decided to TRIM it a little, but..........
Oh well.
As all haircuts do, they always find a way to NOT turn out something that we originally want.
How ironic.
Now, my hair is at shoulder length, and i'm waiting eagerly (patiently) for it to grow :)
Actually the haircut turned out well, cos the ends were SO MUCH HEALTHIER.
I'm so optimistic. Mwahahas.
Less maintenance.
And i can actually achieve those kawaii Jap's big curls for shoulder length now. With curling thongs, of course.
*looks at my hair in the mirror*
Nope, not growing yet.
So, i'm gonna wait till STPM.
Strictly NO MORE HAIRCUTS till then :)
*looks at my hair again in the mirror*
Yup. It's gonna be a long one.
So, should i straighten or curl it? GOSH this is all such a headache.

3 Golden rule of getting a Haircut/ Hairdo
I'm very very VERY sure that all of us had experienced a very bad haircut or a hairdo experience in a saloon that u swore u will never step foot into again after that. unless u're bald ur whole life, then u might say 'no'. Well, anyways, these are all from my personal experience (sadly).
1. If the hairstylist gets a little too chatty, leave.
These kind of species are the worst! And be extremely cautious of aunties n uncles. These types will talk n talk n then they'll end up talking u into doing something u will definitely regret n KILL urself for not being firm enough earlier. Let it be a haircut,or a perm. Not to condemn ALL of them, just that 9/10 of them are like this.
2. Peep through the window or glass door, look at the hairstylist. If they look like shit(esp their hair),leave.
The way the hairstylists bring themselves are deadly crucial. They themselves are like a walking billboard for their shop, and if they can't even do this aspect well, how will they transform ur hair into?? Omg they might just trim ur bangs with a lighter. Urgh.
3. Once u find your PERFECT hairstylist, STICK TO THEM AND NEVER LET GO!!unless u're migrating to somewhere or something else. HEH.
This is something that i don't even have to tell u. don't go 'explore' all the different hairstylist to 'find a better one'. Omg the last time i did that, i regretted to the core of my bones!!!! Once u found the perfect hairstylist that understands ur style and u are comfortable with, that's the perfect match. don't be greedy and go find a better one, or u'll get a shit hair again. Well, this rule is exceptional if u really have ALL(or most) of ur friend's recommendation to go to this hairstylist to do a hairdo. but for a haircut, it's best if u go to ur good ol' one, since they understand ur style already.
